The user consciously initiates every action
This is how most technology works today.
You press a button, something happens.
Want presentation mode? You need to:
1. Press "dim lights"
2. Press "projector on"
3. Maybe adjust the screen...
The system does exactly what you tell it. Nothing more.
This is explicit interaction.
Explicit interaction is predictable and controllable. You always know what will happen because you initiated it.
The tradeoff: you must know what you want and know how to ask for it.
Watch your action count. In the implicit demo, you'll achieve the same result with zero actions.
